Cenotes & caverns

Twenty years ago the water-filled sink holes that pock the Yucatan’s limestone terrain were still largely unexplored. Today many have been set up as remote swimming pools with underground tours. In fact, the Yucatan is now as well known for it’s Cenotes, caverns and underground rivers as it is for it beaches and ruins.

Road trips

From its growing number of ecological parks to its shrinking number of undeveloped beaches, the Yucatan, especially the Riviera Maya, has seen a massive influx of residents and visitors in recent years. But that doesn’t mean there’s nothing left to explore. You still don’t have to get that far off 307 to find old colonial outposts and traditional Mayan villages.
